The basic subject of research concerns plasma processes in various technical devices in a wide frequency range starting with DC and ending with microwave discharges. One of the main research directions is the gas discharge plasma sterilization of medical products and instruments. The research covers development of theory and applications in the following areas:
Mathematical models of physical processes in capacitive and inductive discharges, sheath and presheaths modeling.
Mathematical models of plasma sterilization processes.
Numerical methods for solution of multidimensional non-linear integral-differential systems of equations in partial derivatives.
Software for solution of kinetic and hydrodynamic plasma models.
Software for plasma diagnostics.
Numerical experiment. Comparison with real experiment.
The results obtained have a high scientific level and hold leading positions in the area. Models, methods, software and their applications were presented in respected scientific journals and conferences on plasma physics and modeling since 1990.
